In honour of a tradition

For more than twenty-five years, NaNoWriMo turned every November into a month of first drafts. The organization is gone. The month still belongs to writers.

Novel November is our way of keeping the lamp lit: a pledge you set yourself, a certificate to keep you honest, and a room of writers on the same deadline. Lifetime is $111 because November is the eleventh month, and because this one should be the month you finished.

Questions

Do I have to finish 50,000 words?+

No. The certificate honours the pledge, and the goal is yours to set. A 20,000-word start on a book you care about is worth more than a perfect plan you never begin.

I'm starting late. Is it worth joining?+

Yes. Pledge what fits the days you have left. The month is a deadline, not a gate.

Do I need an account?+

Yes, a free Novel Mage account. Your pledge is saved to it, so it's there on any device and we can cheer you on through the month.

How do I get Lifetime for $111?+

Lifetime is $111 for everyone during November (normally $149). No code needed: the price on the pricing page is the price at checkout.

Is this affiliated with NaNoWriMo?+

No. Novel November is run by Novel Mage as a tribute to the tradition NaNoWriMo built. We're not connected to the former organization.

Do I need to buy anything?+

No. The pledge, the certificate and the 7-day free trial are free, no card needed. The November price is there if you decide to keep Novel Mage.

What happens on December 1?+

The $111 price ends at the end of November 30 (UTC) and Lifetime is $149 again. Your certificate, and anything you bought in November, is yours for good.
