Writer's Voice is Novel Mage's style-capture system. You provide samples of your own writing passages that represent your voice at its best and Novel Mage analyzes them to build a style profile: sentence length patterns, vocabulary level, punctuation habits, rhythm, dialogue style, and tonal range. That profile becomes a reusable preset you can apply to any AI output.
The result is AI-generated prose that sounds like you wrote it, not like a generic language model. When you trigger generation with your Voice preset active, the AI doesn't just continue the story it continues it in your register. Short clipped sentences if that's your style. Lush descriptive prose if that's yours. First-person intimate or third-person distant the AI inherits your established patterns rather than defaulting to its own.
Voice presets are project-portable and can be applied selectively. You might have one voice for your literary fiction project and another for your fast-paced thriller series. You can create multiple presets from different sample sets useful for authors who write in more than one register or who want to capture a specific character's narrative perspective. Each preset stores permanently in your Novel Mage library.

How it works
Navigate to Writer's Voice in your Novel Mage settings and paste three to five passages of your own writing that represent your voice accurately aim for at least 500 words total. Novel Mage analyzes the samples and builds a style profile. Save it with a label and it's ready to apply. When generating or rewriting, select your Voice preset alongside any system prompt. The AI uses both layers together: your instructions (what to write) and your voice profile (how you write it).
